On Tuesday 3rd of November, the race that stops the nation will be held at Flemington Racecourse.
Yes Stylers, the race that stops the nation will be off and running soon.
Are you planning to be at the trackside in Flemington, at a fancy lunch or at a low-key gathering with your girlfriends?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this post is for you.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing the dos and don’ts with the race day dress code and share ideas on how to put your outfit together.
Crown Oaks Day
Today, I will begin with one of my favourite race days, Crown Oaks Day.
Known as Ladies Day, Oaks Day is all about fashion and style. Floral, pastels and a soft palette tend to rule the day which sees the fashion fiercely challenge the track as the day’s main event. Go with pretty and feminine looks that amplify your fashion cred, but remember to keep it graceful and always glamorous – it’s Ladies Day after all.
Top trend this year is lace! And can I just say how much I love lace. It’s feminine, sweet and elegant. I paired our Sleepless Night Skirt with a peach top, matching fascinator and delicate jewels. It’s important to remember not to go to matchy-matchy. Your shoes don’t have to match your bag. I went completely different and went for a black shoe. I was going for an elegant modern feel.
I love a girly moment and Oaks Day is the perfect opportunity to have one, so keep your hair and makeup soft and channel your inner Audrey Hepburn as it’s all about being graceful!
Are you going to any Spring Racing event or do you have a style questions?
Please let me know as I would to know what everyone is doing.
